{Filling Schedule!}

             Hello! It's been difficult for me to find time to post a new blog entry but here it is, finally! I have been booking a few sessions here and there and am very excited for them to happen! I have so many cute and unique ideas and I am truly hopefull that more people continue to see my ads and book sessions. As it gets warmer and nicer outside I will be doing a lot more advertising since 90% of my photography is done outside in the natural light. I recently booked a Quinceanera in March, which I am so excited about because it is something new and will expand my capabilities even more! I just got a new flash that will better support the needs of indoor photography in darker venues for weddings and such so that is exciting all on its own! I am building up quite the stash of props for all kinds of sessions and I am working on perfecting my crocheting skills so I can offer customized hats, cacoons, slings, and more for any session type. All in all, everything is slowly coming together and I am even contemplating turning a portion of my office downstairs into an mini-photography studio so I can offer indoor sessions on top of everything else. But that is still up for debate and will be decided later on in the year when I (hopefully) have a fuller schedule. Remember, I will serve Salt Lake Valley, portions of Utah County and in Idaho Cassia and Minidoka Counties! Can't wait to book some sessions! :D

I am officially on the search for willing participants to help me in expanding my photography portfolio. Depending on the type of session you are interested in there may be little to no charge. This will be offered for a limited time as I try to improve my basic skills. Please contact me if you would be interested in doing a session and we will discuss all of the details.

 

{Jumping out on a ledge...}

to my blog, {Mateo Photography: Moments, Memories & Milestones}. Be patient with me as I am still figuring all of this out and coming about it quite slowly. I was never technologically savy...until I discovered photo editing programs. From that point forward I was hooked. I am by no means a professional photographer (or editor), that is for sure. I simply have a love for capturing moments, memories and milestones. My main subjects up to this point have been my two amazing children, Bostyn Lillie and Andrew Joseph. I am sure when they are old enough they will try and hide my camera but for now they will have to endure my endless flashes and rediculous attempts to lure out their beautiful smiles.

                                                      After a lot of thought and honestly, a lot of doubting my abilities I have decided to jump out on a ledge and offer my beginning photography skills to others. This may or may not work out how I am expecting but regardless, I am going to try my best because I have a passion that I would love to share with others. I know how unbelievably high photography prices are these days because even though I take a ton of pictures of my kids, I still outsource and take them to "professional" places and pay the outrageous prices only to get a limited amount of prints or forced to pay an additional fee to recieve the copyrights to MY CHILDRENS portraits so that I can print enough to share with my entire family. My goal is to be able to offer my services at a very affordable cost. I am also a big fan of the client having as much of an input on poses, prop ideas, etc as they want. They are afterall, your pictures and you should be able to get exactly what you have in mind. At this time, I cannot guarantee satisfaction but what I can guarantee is that you will get 110% of what I am able to give. I will try my best to make you happy and capture great photographs for you to cherish always.

                                                        

                                                    The pictures I have posted so far under the "{Photography}" tab have been taken between August, 2009 and yesterday. This is just a small sample of the pictures I have taken and edited. They were chosen for no specific reason other than being some of my favorites from over the years. I sincerely hope to be able to add pictures from future sessions to the multitide of photos of my children.
